Digital Innovation & Design Ingenuity Win Springbox Gold and Silver

by Springbox, November 16, 2012

AUSTIN, Texas – November 16, 2012: Springbox, a leading digital services agency, was recently honored by two international marketing and advertising institutions: The Davey Awards and the W3 Awards, both of which are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA).

Springbox received a 2012 Gold W3 Award for their work on the Michael J. Fox Foundation Trial Finder, a digital tool that helps volunteers learn about Parkinson’s trial participation, find potential trial matches based on their location and key health criteria, filter results by area of interest or read detailed information about each trial. Springbox also received a 2012 Silver W3 Award for Mobilizer, a free web-based tool that allows designers and developers to preview mobile websites, design mockups and local HTML on a variety of phone shells.

The W3 is the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies.

Springbox also brought home two Silver Davey awards this year, one for their work on the Michael J. Fox Foundation Trial Finder and the other for their work, in partnership with agency GSD&M, on the redesign of the Air Force Academy’s admissions site. The new website design streamlines the application process for prospective cadets and raises awareness of the schools’ position as one of the top colleges in the country with a user-friendly interface and enhanced visuals.

The Davey Awards is the first major awards competition specifically designed to highlight the work of smaller firms. While the awards recognize the work of smaller organizations, the judges have big reputations. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Conde Nast, Michael Kors, Inc., Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Microsoft, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Howcast and many more.

“As digital partners, Springbox strives to deliver best-in-class solutions for all of our clients,” said Tom West, CEO of Springbox, “Bringing home these awards further accredits us as a smart choice for anyone looking for a partner that consistently delivers top-tier digital solutions.”

Springbox’s work on the new Air Force Academy admissions site was also featured by Communication Arts as Webpick of the Day on October 11, 2012.
