Earlier this month, Springbox named Kate Thomas as Director of Content Strategy, a new role that is putting an emphasis on content strategy and content effectiveness for the growing digital agency.
“We are incredibly lucky to have found a content strategy leader with a passion for content and customer experience. Kate has the technical chops needed to design modularized, format-free content, authoring structures and governance frameworks to meet the complex needs of our clients,” said Maria Seaver, Chief Experience Officer, Springbox.

Thomas brings over 20 years of content strategy experience to the table, having worked extensively in both print and digital. As a native Australian, she started her career in content by redesigning and rebuilding the website for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra. After relocating to London she served as lead content manager at King’s College London overseeing the strategic and tactical management of their site. At DigitasLBi, Thomas was the lead content strategist working on the EMEA ecosystem of brands including Honda, Barclays Bank, Avis Budget Group, Coca Cola and more. After working at DigitasLBi for over three years Thomas began working at Sapient.Razorfish where she helped drive the digital transformation of a global business intelligence publisher.
In addition to Thomas’s extensive career in content strategy, she is also an international public speaker having spoken at Confab Europe (2014), CS Forum (2016), Information Energy (2016) and the Austin eCommerce Meetup (2017). Thomas has remained a trusted voice in the content strategy community for years, extolling the virtues of content strategy for both users and brands.
Thomas looks forward to growing the content strategy offering at Springbox and building on the existing practices to holistically grow the discipline throughout the agency.
